Why "Council"?
Sake is now recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Yet unlike Kabuki or Noh, there are few places dedicated to experiencing it with intention. While sake can be enjoyed anywhere, there has been no single place where one can truly explore its depth. At the same time, many breweries continue to disappear each year. We believe sake holds a potential equal to wine— rich, diverse, and worthy of global appreciation. “The Sake Council” was created as a response. A place where sake is not only served—but shared and discussed. Where perspectives are shared, across cultures and backgrounds. Where curiosity leads to discovery. A place for sake lovers to gather— and engage in conversation beyond borders.
